AI website editor
Edit your site by talking to AI.
Once this is set up, you can update your website by chatting with an AI assistant. Say “change the Sunday service time to 10:30am” and it'll make the change. Live in about 30 seconds — no code, no logins, no headaches.
Pick the AI you'd like to use below — Claude AI is the simplest, ChatGPT works with its built-in GitHub connector, and Perplexity is supported through its Mac app.
Create a GitHub account
GitHub is where the code for your church's website lives. We use it to make sure only you can edit your site.
- 1. Go to github.com/signup
- 2. Pick a username (something simple like firstname-lastname is fine)
- 3. Use an email you check regularly
- 4. Pick a password and verify your email when GitHub sends you a code
Already have a GitHub account? Skip ahead to step 2.
Send me your GitHub username
Once you have a GitHub account, send me your username so I can give you access to your church's website. You'll get an email invitation from GitHub shortly after — click “Accept invitation” in that email.
Email me your usernameOr text me at (401) 486-6714.
Add the editor to Claude AI
Claude is the AI that will do the editing for you. You'll connect it to your website once, then you can chat with it any time.
- 1. Go to claude.ai and sign in (or sign up — it's free to start)
- 2. Open Settings → Connectors
- 3. Click “Add custom connector”
- 4. Name it: My Church Website Editor
- 5. Paste this URL:
https://www.elijahdesent.com/api/mcp - 6. Click Connect, then sign in with GitHub when prompted
Try it out
Start a new chat in Claude AI and try one of these to make sure everything works:
- “Change my Sunday service time to 10:30am.”
- “Update the verse on my homepage to John 3:16.”
- “Add an Easter service event on April 5 at 10am.”
Claude will confirm what it's about to change before doing it. Your site goes live within 30 seconds. If something doesn't look right, just tell Claude “undo that” and it'll roll back.
