What $1,000 can do

In a small church, a thousand dollars goes a long way.

It's yours to use the way your church reaches people best. A few ideas to get you praying:

Vacation Bible School: Snacks, crafts, and curriculum for a week of kids hearing the gospel.
A community day: A cookout on the church lawn, open to the whole town.
Door-to-door: Tracts, door hangers, and invitation cards for a few Saturdays of soul-winning.
Bibles to give away: A case of Bibles for visitors, the jail ministry, or the nursing home.
Revival or special meetings: Bring in a preacher, and put the word out so the town knows.
A mailer to every home: One postcard inviting every household nearby to church.

Official rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

Sponsor. Elijah Desent (elijahdesent.com), Warren, Michigan (“Sponsor”).

Eligibility. Open to churches located in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia with an average weekly attendance of approximately 15–300 people. Entries must be submitted by the church's pastor or another leader authorized to act for the church, who must be 18 or older. Westview Baptist Church and churches whose pastor is an immediate family member of Sponsor are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

Entry period. Begins when this page is published and ends December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Enter by completing the form on this page. Limit one entry per church; duplicate entries (including entries sharing an email address) count once.

Automatic entry. Churches with an active website hosting account with Sponsor at the close of the entry period are entered automatically, once, and need not submit the form.

Drawing. On or about January 1, 2027, Sponsor will select winners at random from all eligible entries received: first one (1) Grand Prize winner, then multiple Second Prize winners, then multiple Third Prize winners. There is no maximum number of Second or Third Prize winners; the number of each is determined by Sponsor at the time of the drawing, with at least one (1) of each. A church may win only one prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Prizes. Grand Prize (1): a $1,000 grant paid to the winning church by check or electronic transfer, intended for gospel outreach in the church's community (approximate retail value $1,000). Second Prize (multiple winners): 50% off Sponsor's one-time website design fee. Third Prize (multiple winners): $100 off Sponsor's one-time website design fee. Discounts apply to design and build only — not to hosting, domains, or other recurring charges — have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be combined with other offers, and must be redeemed by December 31, 2027. Winners are under no obligation to purchase anything.

Winner notification. Winners will be contacted by email and/or phone using the information provided within seven (7) days of the drawing. A winner who does not respond within fourteen (14) days of notification forfeits the prize, and an alternate may be drawn. Grand Prize payment may require the church's legal name and mailing address. Any taxes are the responsibility of the winning church.

Privacy. Information you submit is used to run this drawing and to contact you about it and about Sponsor's church website services. It is never sold.

General. Sponsor may disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, or submitted through automated means, and may modify or cancel the promotion if it cannot run as planned. By entering, entrants agree to these rules and to Sponsor's decisions, which are final.
